Community Focus: Supporting One of Georgia’s Own

When a local veteran in Brunswick was in urgent need of a new wastewater system, the Georgia onsite industry stepped up to answer the call.

Through a collaborative effort, Eljen Corporation donated 28 Eljen GSF A42 modules, local distributor Winsupply of Brunswick coordinated the material supply, and contractor TideCo Septic generously donated their time, expertise, and labor to complete the installation in Brunswick, GA.

A Legacy of Service

The beneficiary of this installation is a 37-year-old U.S. Army veteran who dedicated years of his life in service to our nation. Serving from 2007 to 2012 with the 1st Armored Division, 1/6 Infantry stationed out of Germany, he completed two combat deployments:

  • Iraq (2008–2009): Deployed as an Infantry SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) gunner.
  • Afghanistan (2011–2012): Served as a Section Sergeant for his mortar platoon, where he led two squads and managed Quick Reaction Force (QRF) operations for their checkpoint.

Overcoming Site Constraints in Brunswick

While the site featured great soil conditions, available space on the property was extremely tight. With no viable area in the backyard, the entire absorption field had to fit into a small footprint in the front yard.

By taking advantage of Eljen’s approved drain field size reduction, the team designed a high-performance system that fit within the strict front-yard boundaries. The 28 GSF A42 modules provided the required primary treatment and secondary bio-fabric filtration, delivering a compact, passive solution that eliminated the need for costly secondary treatment units or invasive site modifications.

Industry Collaboration at Its Best

For many veterans, transitioning back to civilian life brings quiet challenges, and an unexpected septic replacement can quickly become an overwhelming financial burden.

By pairing Eljen’s space-saving technology with local supply support from Winsupply of Brunswick and TideCo Septic’s expert execution, the project delivered a reliable, long-term wastewater solution that will serve the veteran’s home for decades to come.

This installation stands as a testament to what can be accomplished when manufacturers, distributors, and local contractors work together for a greater cause.
